New Resident Dinner “Friendly Beginnings”
The New Resident Dinner is one of the Village Association’s biggest annual events, when it celebrates the addition of new Independent Living residents and new team members from the previous year. This year’s event has the added attraction of affording a sneak peek of the newly renovated Custer Room, with new tableware and other enticements. (The Custer Dining Room won’t formally re-open for meals until mid-November.)
Find out more »Halloween: Trick or Treating in Hallways
Halloween is HUGE in our Assisted Living and Nursing Households. BRC team member and resident families are invited to bring their little ones to traipse through the hallways and households for a joyous round of trick-or-treat. It’s such a popular event that sweet treats are collected for a month in advance so that residents have enough to hand out. It’s a joyful experience for all involved.

BRC Energizers Walk to End Alzheimers
The BRC Energizers are residents, team members, and families who come together to support the Alzheimer’s Association and participate in Harrisonburg’s annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s. All veterans in the BRC community and widows or widowers of veterans along with a guest are invited to a special breakfast in their honor in the Houff Community Center in Maple Terrace. A Veterans Day program will begin at 10:00 am, following breakfast.
