To assist family caregivers in the surrounding area Bridgewater Retirement Community—Assisted Living offers a short term stay opportunity through our Respite Care Program to provide quality care in the absence of a caregiver. This program is not intended for emergencies. The standard admissions process, room rates, and pharmacy policy apply to residents receiving respite care. Residents are required to stay a minimum of two weeks in Assisted Living. If a resident chooses to leave the community prior to the two-week requirement, they will be billed and responsible for paying the full rate of a two-week stay. Rates will be determined by the level of care needed (Assisted Living or Enhanced Assisted Living). Residents or responsible parties will be asked to provide a tentative discharge date, but residents are welcome to stay longer than the agreed upon date if they wish to stay long term. Residents receiving respite care can extend their stay twice before long term plans must be made.
